Professor José Chambers MBE

José is the Chair and Founder of the Ideas College. She is also a Development Fellow of the Comino Foundation, a charity which supports innovation in education. Until 2010, she was Assistant Vice Chancellor at the University of Winchester, where she remains a member of the Centre for Real World Learning.

After an early career as an English teacher in secondary schools and a large sixth-form college, she transferred to Higher Education, working initially on a range of projects linking education to business. José is Professor of Organisational Learning and has acted as organisational consultant to a wide range of public and private sector organisations, including government departments. She has worked as an associate consultant with Financial Times Management and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. She has been a school governor, and a board member of Winchester Area Community Action and Winchester Against Climate Change; she is a board member of the Ideas Foundation.
